Okay im back from camp! Well it was kinda slack. if u compare to my usual sch BB camps la. The food was quite good actually. much better than the SFI food we had during SGB last year and perhaps slightly better than the food i had in LDC june 07. lets see. other thing we also had bunks instead of pitching tents or sleeping on the floor. quite well furnished la. and from the camsite 4th floor we could actually see across the strait and Malaysia. haha.
Lets see. there was some confusion on where i was to go as my name was LEFT OUT =( during registration. so its like. i didnt have a company la. maybe in a way invisible? coz no one knows whether im there or not. so basically i ended up in the Charlie copany. and with Shane, who happened to be the only one from my squad that i knew before the camp, the rest were strangers to be from other schools and companies.
We started the camp by leaving our bags in the seminar room, and then we went for a game of Tchoukball, which was a new game in Singapore. it was kinda weird la. no interception, no blocking etc. abit dumb. too used to the captains ball we used to play in pri sch. haha. after that we went for lunch, and then i cant remember much la. alot of so called lectures kinda boring. except there was this total livewire called Ren Jie. i guess without him camp wouldnt have been as fun. he was very entertaining, coming up with our company cheer, and even performing his tuneless-but-extremely-entertaining song and dance. After some stuff we went for some teambuilding games, where we had to lift all of our team through a car tyre suspended about 2 m in the air? in the end, the 27 of us, plus Ben Sim, plus our 2 Senior NCOs, and Mr Loke and Chan, we took about 9 minutes? it was really an achievement. imagine lifting me. but it was really a chance to put our trust in our fellow squad mates to carry everyone, literally, through. we also played the newspaper game to get across from one end of the room to another. we were allowed to use other furniture to get across, and 27 of us managed it later in 1min 59 sec in 4 or 5 sheets of newspaper! Nice! So nothing much to say except the usual meals and all that. we also had some communication game where people were labaled dumb, blind and paralysed la. which was kinda effective in getting us to work together. then we had water bomb fight at night. which was kinda bad. coz the senior nco's made the bombs lethal, adding rice, soya sauce, flour, salt. but it was kinda boring. at least when we play back in sch, we have multi level, with obstacles and all. makes it much more fun then playing frontal assault. Then i went for the expected hell queue at the toilet. it was like some giveaway. after getting through that, i went up to the bunk and chatted with my bunk-mates la. i more or less remember the people in my squad? Cheng Ho, Si Hao, Shane, Aaron, Joel and me. haha. yay. so we're quite a friendly bunch.
Next morning. hmm dun remember much. 5BX. breakfast. more lecture? lunch. then there was talent time. which after hearing Ren Jie sing the song like 5 times already, he did it again on stage. i laughed until my sides hurt. lol. then basically we had graudation ceremony where i called out the people. not bad. they had to call me Duan which was actually 'sir' *ego* Lol. but i din get my cert. damn lateness. zzz. so after that we were dismissed and went back. how fun. haha. okay gonna go now. bye
